Dr. Stephanie Waters, DVM

A true local, Dr. Waters-Lemma was born and raised in Merrick. After earning her degree from The Ohio State University, Dr. Waters-Lemma gained experience at a busy Nassau County hospital while also volunteering at local shelters providing spay/neuter services, preventative care, and behavior modification for pets in need.
Her special interests include low-stress handling, behavior modification, preventative medicine, internal medicine, and surgery. She is a “Level 3 Fear Free Veterinarian,” a certification dedicated to reducing fear, anxiety, and stress in pets while strengthening the human-animal bond.
When not caring for patients, she enjoys time with her husband, young son, and their pets.
