A Merrick native, Dr. Maltese earned her degree
from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has spent her
career caring for pets across Long Island.
Dr. Maltese has special interests in pain management, chronic disease therapy,
and soft tissue surgery — including brachycephalic obstructive airway surgery
(BOAS), which helps improve the breathing of certain breeds. She finds profound
fulfillment in easing suffering, improving her patients’ quality of life, and
building lasting relationships with clients.
Outside the hospital, Dr. Maltese enjoys every moment with her daughter and
their busy household of four dogs and two cats.
